Chocolate Soufflé Cake

This cake marks its presence since the 19th century. It originated in France. Its main ingredient is the egg. It can be served as both, as a savory dish or as a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 ½ tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 tbsp. fat-free milk
  • ¼ tbsp. extracts of vanilla
  • 1  egg white
  • Powdered sugar 1 tbsp.

How To Make It

First, keep the oven to preheat at 350F. Now, coat 2 small cooking bowls with oil. Now, dust the base of the bowls with sugar. Mix 2tbsp granulated sugar, flour, cocoa and milk in a pan. Cook it over medium heat for 2 minutes. Keep stirring the mixture until it becomes smooth. Now, cool the mixture in a bowl and add vanilla extract.

Drop the egg white in a bowl; beat it till the high peaks are formed. Add 2 tbsp. of sugar in it. Again start beating the egg till stiff peaks are formed. Now, gently mix ¼ egg white mixture into the chocolate. Pour this mixture in the two bowls prepared earlier. Place the bowl on the baking sheet and bake it at 350F for 15 minutes. After 15 min the cake will be puffy and set. Now dust some sugar and serve.

Garash Cake

It is a famous Bulgarian Cake. It is a rich and heavy dessert despite being made with very little flour. This cake can also be made flourless.

Ingredients

  • 9 eggs separated
  • 1 cup butter
  • 9 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 3 cups raw walnut
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup whipped heavy cream
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut

How To Make It

keep the oven to preheat at 350F. Grease a cake pan with oil. Cover the pan with parchment paper and spray some more oil on it. Now blend 1/3 cup brown sugar and walnut together in a blender. Beat the egg whites until the peaks are formed. Now fold the walnut and sugar mixture in it gently. Divide this mixture into 4 equal parts. Bake each part separately for 15 min. let the cakes cool down in room temperature.

Prepare Ganache

For the ganache, melt butter in a pan at medium heat. Add cocoa and mix till all the lumps disappear. Now beat egg yolks and 1/3 cup brown sugar for 5 min until it becomes thick and frothy. Now add cocoa butter mixture in it and beat gently. Add to this heavy cream. This will thin the ganache. Let it cool.

For placing, take a plate and place a cake layer on it, spread some ganache on it repeat the process with the remaining layers. Cover the whole cake with chocolate ganache. Decorate the cake with some walnuts and let to cool in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Serve after cooling.
