Ingredients

  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup warm milk
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • ¼ tbsp. baking soda
  • ½ tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 ½ cup salt and sand for baking in a cooker

Directions

Pour 1 ½ cup salt and sand in the cooker. Place a cooker rack on it. Close the lid and remove the gasket and whistle. Heat it for 10 min. Now, beat milkmaid, half oil, milk, vanilla, and vinegar together. After beating this mixture add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder with a pinch of salt together. Combine it with the milkmaid mixture completely. Pour the batter in a cake could and place it on the rack. Close the lid and cook in simmer for 40 min. cool it and serve.

There might be a slight difference in the texture of the cake as a cooker cake is softer. Also, the color does not turn brown like an oven-baked cake.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 egg
  • 4 tbsp. milk
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla essence

Directions

Mix flour and baking powder together. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, and milk together in a separate bowl. Beat it for 5 min now add flour and baking powder. Mix well and add vanilla essence in it. Pour the mixture in a microwave-safe bowl. Bake for 60 seconds at 600W. Cool the cake and serve.

A cake made in the oven turns brown after cooking but a microwave baked one remains white. The ingredients remain the same for baking in both types of machines. The method is also the same. Cakes cooked in oven are firmer than cooked in a cooker or microwave. But, it is always advisable to bake it in an oven.
